Off Trail Series

The Off Trail Series is a monthly rotational series that allows the brewers to get creative. Off Trail beers are always different and gives us a chance to use innovative ingredients as well as techniques.

January 2017

Balanced fruity esters with rich roasted coffee and chocolate notes. Vanilla and oats add to the fluffy texture and creamy mouth feel.

February 2017

Complex maltiness balanced by hop aromatics from experimental hops as well as NYS hops.

March 2017

Grisette style collaboration brew with C.H. Evans commonly said to be consumed by workers as they exited the mines. In this low alcohol wheat beer we used new school Slovenian hops to give it a light straw flavor.

April 2017

High alcohol wheat beer brewed with fresh orange zest, pink peppercorns, and fun German hops.

May 2017

A dry hopped kettle sour. We allow a mixture of lactobacillus to make this beer pleasantly tart in our kettle before boiling and adding some exciting hops from New York, Australia and New Zeland.

June 2017

Saison Brewed with German Ariana hops, New York State hops and pink/ white peppercorns. Fermented with a blend of saison yeasts.

July 2017

Saison Brewed with a blend of saison yeasts. Brewed with a simple malt bill as well as nobel and new York state hops to showcase the yeast character.
Dry, Fruity, Complex

August 2017

Saison Brewed with orange zest, rose hips and pink peppercorns. Fermented with 2 strains of saiosn yeast.

September 2017

Jasmine Fig Saison. This saison will be darker in color compared to traditional saisons and utilizes a unique blend of lager and saison yeast to provide complex esters. Figs and Jasmine are added at the end of fermentation for the yeast to chew on and blend everthing together. Expect big esters followed by earthy and floral tones.

October 2017

Bière de Garde meaning “beer for keeping” is a strong pale ale or keeping beer traditionally brewed in Northern France.These beers were originally brewed in farmhouses during the winter and spring, to avoid unpredictable problems with the yeast during the summertime. Expect floral, dried fruit, and crackery notes.

November 2017

Steam beer is a highly effervescent beer made by fermenting lager yeasts at warmer fermentation temperatures. This beer will also be brewed with spruce tips to give it a refreshing Adirondack taste. Expect notes of pine, citrus, and cracker
